Artists of the Future recognised in Credit Union Competition Local winners picked in All-Ireland Competition
Local school children have set out their vision of Ireland in an Art Competition run by Kilrea, Rasharkin & Dunloy Credit Union, as part of one of the largest art events to be held in Northern Ireland each year.
The winners were picked from a number of local entries, in what looks set to be the biggest year of the annual event run by the Irish League of Credit Unions.
Claire Quigg of Kilrea, Rasharkin & Dunloy Credit Union said at the presentation of prizes: "This year saw a change to the rules with the scope widened beyond the traditional poster competition and this has allowed local young people to really expand their creativity and create a vision of ‘Ireland through my Eyes’.
The standard of local entries shows that our community can look forward to a strong artistic influence into the future.
The judges faced an almost impossible task in selecting our local winners” Entries were invited in a number of categories and the winners are:
1st Kyra Doherty St Joseph’s PS, Dunloy
2nd Rhiannon Reid Crossroad’s PS, Kilrea
3rd Oisin McErlane St Joseph’s PS, Kilrea
